Coaching FAQs

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or uncertain about how coaching could help, you’re not alone. Here are answers to some common questions to help you decide if coaching is the right step for you.

1. What is coaching, and how could it help me?

Coaching is a collaborative, future-focused process that helps you move from where you are now to where you want to be. It’s about gaining clarity, overcoming challenges, and creating meaningful change in your life.

For professional mothers like you, coaching can:

  • Help you manage mum guilt and overwhelm.

  • Support you in navigating your return to work after maternity leave.

  • Provide a safe space to explore your values and realign your career with the life you want for your family.

  • Build your confidence and help you feel more in control of your time and decisions.

2. How is coaching different from therapy?

While therapy often focuses on healing past traumas or addressing mental health concerns, coaching is action-oriented and focused on the present and future. It’s about helping you identify your goals and create a path to achieve them. Coaching is perfect for when you’re ready to move forward but feel stuck, uncertain, or need support finding clarity and balance.

3. What does non-directive coaching mean?

Non-directive coaching means that you’re in control of the journey. I won’t tell you what to do or offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I’ll guide you with powerful questions, reflections, and tools to help you uncover your own answers. You are the expert in your life, and my role is to support you in discovering what works best for you.

4. Who is coaching for?

My coaching is specifically designed for professional mothers like you who are:

  • Anxious about returning to work after maternity leave and unsure how to balance it all.

  • Struggling with mum guilt and the pressure to “do it all.”

  • Feeling overwhelmed or stretched too thin.

  • Questioning whether your career still aligns with your values or the life you want for your family.

  • Ready to move from surviving to thriving in both work and motherhood.

5. What happens during a coaching session?

Every session is unique and tailored to what you need most in the moment. We’ll explore what’s on your mind—whether it’s a specific challenge, a goal you want to work toward, or simply managing the chaos of daily life. Through reflective conversation and practical strategies, you’ll leave each session with clarity and actionable steps to move forward.

6. Do I need to have a specific goal before starting coaching?

Not at all. Some clients come to coaching with clear goals, like feeling more confident at work or managing their time better. Others come because they feel stuck or overwhelmed but don’t know where to start. Both are perfectly fine—coaching can help you find clarity and direction no matter where you’re starting from.

7. How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what you’re looking for:

  • One-Off Session: Ideal if you have a specific challenge or decision you’d like support with.

  • Embracing Mama Programme: A 3-month journey designed for deeper transformation, perfect if you want to rebuild confidence, find balance, and align your life with your values.

8. Is coaching confidential?

Yes. Everything we discuss in coaching is completely confidential. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your challenges and goals openly.

9. How much time will I need to commit?

For the Embracing Mama programme, you’ll attend six 60-minute sessions over three months. Beyond the sessions, the time commitment is entirely up to you. Any exercises, reflections, or tools we discuss will be practical and manageable within your busy schedule.

10. How do I get started?

The first step is to book a free discovery call. This 30-minute, no-pressure conversation is an opportunity for us to connect and explore how coaching can help you. It’s your chance to share what’s on your mind, ask questions, and decide if coaching feels like the right fit.

11. What if I’m not sure coaching is right for me?

That’s okay! Coaching is a big step, and it’s normal to feel unsure. The discovery call is a great way to learn more, share your concerns, and see if this feels like the right fit. There’s no obligation—it’s just a chance to connect and explore your options.
